Scania just unveiled its new line of fully electric trucks that will start shipping in Q4 of 2023. The trucks will offer a 624kWh battery with a hypothetical range of up to 320km - depending on the load weight, route, topography, and climate. The trucks will come in either a 4x2 tractor-trailer or a 6x2x4 rigid truck configuration and will do up to 320km with a 40-tonne load and up to 320km with the maximum of 64 tonnes. The rigid truck configuration will come with R or S sleeper cabs.

The trucks have a 410kW (550hp) powertrain, which will provide the needed electromechanical power take-off. The battery pack can recharge to full in just 90 minutes, using CCS2 375kW charging. This way the trucks would make good returns during a driver's mandated 45-minute rest period.

Scania isn't revealing prices but asks interested parties to get in touch with a Scania representative.
