Van Moof, a bicycle manufacturer from the Netherlands, has again presented a new electric bicycle model designed to be ridden by all walks of life. Van Moof A5 is the latest model from the Dutch electric bicycle manufacturer, which is famous for its bold designs and high-tech products. The Van Moof A5 was introduced with the S5, but the A5 looks more friendly to all circles, following the previous product X3.
If the S5 still carries the design lines
like its predecessors only with new technology and features, the A5 comes with
a beveled frame approaching the step-through model. This is easier with some of
the mid-step frames we’ve seen. The A5 is for riders 155-200cm tall with 24″
wheels.
This electric bike is equipped with a new
Gen 5 front wheel hub motor with 250W continuous power. The rear mechanical has
electronically controlled internal gear and is equipped with a torque sensor
and boost button which is useful when going uphill. The 463 Wh battery is kept
in the frame, while the drive uses a belt with a cover, so the ebike looks
clean.
The A5 features headlights and taillights
integrated into the frame. While the battery condition and gear position will
be displayed in the integrated light on the handlebar. The A5 features lock and
anti-theft. Weighing 22 kg, the A5 can travel 55 km, with an additional battery
it can reach 140 km. Also available accessories in the form of front and rear
shelves. It costs about US$ 2,998 in the United States.
