The Ford Bronco Raptor pushes the off-road credentials of the vehicle to all-new heights but for those who are after even more, a company by the name of Automotive Performance Group (APG) has the solution. Dubbed the ProRunnner, the tuner has developed a wild off-roading package for the Bronco. The most significant upgrade made is the fitment of APG’s ‘Bronco Long Travel Front Suspension System’ that uses billet upper and boxed lower control arms that are 3.5-inches wider per-side than standard. The result is a massive 16.5-inches of wheel travel. APG has also fitted 3.0-inch King Race Series coilovers and 2.5-inch triple bypass shocks located within raised and reinforced shock towers.
As for the rear, it too rocks a set of
King coilovers and bypass shocks that are identical to those up front. APG has
also installed a new track bar and billet control arms that increase rear wheel
travel to 16.5-inches. Helping to further improve the Bronco’s off-road
abilities is a 7-inch wider Ultimate Dana 60 rear axle, an Ultimate Dana 44 IFS
drive unit, and 300M RCV HD axles up front.
A handful of visual changes have also been
made. The most obvious are the carbon fiber front and rear fenders that are
7-inches wider per side. These arches can sit over the standard 35-inch tires
that the Bronco is sold with or be paired with APG’s own 40-inch tires,
although this bigger option does reduce both the front and rear wheel travel to
14.5-inches.
APG says it will offer numerous other
upgrades for the Bronco. These include aftermarket racks, lighting, body armor,
and certain unspecified “performance upgrades.” The company hasn’t said how
much the ProRunner package costs but will begin to accept pre-orders on August
1. It will then commence production in the fall.
