Chery has posted the “official spy shots” of its upcoming Tiggo 9 SUV. The camouflaged car might share the platform and engines with the Exeed Yaoguang when it debuts next month. A large radiator grille with vertical bars and narrow-slit headlights are perhaps the only things barely visible through the disguise. Other than that, it is a rather normal-looking SUV with distinct wheel arches and floating door handles.

Interior highlights will include a large display duo, a steering wheel squared off at the bottom, and an unusual front panel with accented air vents. Similar displays and wheels we have already seen on the Exeed Yaoguang test vehicle spotted not long ago, but that one had its own, different front panel and center console design. As for the seat count, we would imagine it being between five and seven.

At 4.78 meters long with 2.8 meters of wheelbase, the Tiggo 9 is shaping up to be Chery’s largest SUV to date. Engine-wise, we are looking forward to a 1.6-liter turbo linked to a 7-speed DCT and its larger 2.0-liter equivalent obtainable with an optional 8-speed A/T. The latter has already been confirmed for the Exeed Yaoguang.

The Chery Tiggo 9 is expected to debut at the Guangzhou Motor Show in November.
