Japanese tuning company DAMD will be coming to the Tokyo Auto Salon in January with a fresh take on the Kei car known as the Suzuki Hustler. The body kit is called Country and lacks any technical improvements.
Compared side-by-side with the stock
Hustler, the Country looks like a mini-SUV thanks to an all-new front fascia,
an edgy lower bumper and fog lamps at the sides. The grille gets a mesh insert,
and the panel below gets painted to match the main body color. An air intake is
added to the hood, but it is hard to tell from the only pic available so far
whether it is real or fake.
Power continues to be supplied by a
mild-hybrid system based on a 0.66-liter engine. Buyers can choose between
non-turbo and turbo, as well as between FWD and AWD.
The company’s portfolio already includes a
styling package named DAMD Hustler for this particular model. The
even sillier-sounding DAMD Hustler Country is scheduled to go on sale in late
December, ahead of the show reveal.
