Audi has decided to make corrections to its EV lineup development strategy: it now plans to stop making ICE cars by the year 2033 and release the long-anticipated Q6 e-tron SUV next year. In the existing EV portfolio, the Q6 e-tron will slot in between the Q4 and Q8 e-tron models. Rather than just unveiling it, the company plans to start producing it at its Ingolstadt factory next year. It will be the marque’s first battery car to be assembled at that production site.

The press release also states that all Audi factories worldwide will have produced at least one electric car by the year 2029.
