Gone are the times when a man had to choose between driving a sports car all alone or settling down with a family, kids and a bumbling monstrosity dubbed ‘station wagon’. The wagons these days are anything if not fast. Tweaked by aftermarket experts over at AC Schnitzer, the family wagon flaunts a front splitter, side skirt extensions and a roof spoiler at the rear end. All parts fit regardless of whether you have the M Sport package installed.
Highlighting the sporty character are
assorted alloy wheels coming in sizes up to 20 inches. For suspension, you
could either opt for a full coilover kit and get an adjustable ride height
reduction within 20–30 mm or go for standard springs and get a fixed
25–35 mm of lowering.
In terms of power upgrades, the
range-topping M340i spec may be bolstered to 420 PS and 600
Nm of torque. The more affordable four-cylinder 330i spec gets 300
PS and 470 Nm. The 330e PHEV can be persuaded to
churn out 340 PS and 480 Nm of torque.
A sports exhaust system rounds off the
list. All components can be purchased either as a bundle (typically discounted)
or individually.
