Chery is refreshing the exterior of its Tiggo 3x compact crossover right now, getting ready to launch it in China with the ‘Plus’ suffix. The spy shots made this weekend reveal the cabin as well.

Overall, the prototype looks closer to the Omoda 5 than it is to the rest of the Tiggo lineup. Note especially the new radiator grille outlines, two-tier headlights, rear spoiler, and imitated exhaust finishers.

The interior layout also gives off Omoda vibes with its similar-looking dashboard, slim air vents, HVAC panel, and center tunnel. The displays are not merged, possibly because the manufacturer wants to keep the analog gauge cluster available for the cheapest versions.

Media in China are reporting that Chery has no clear schedule for the domestic launch of the 3x model yet. This might mean that it is a primarily exports-oriented model.
