Manhart keeps launching more powerful variants of the M3/M4 with the latest being based on the track-focused BMW M4 CSL. The Manhart MH4 GTR II has a monstrous power output of 692 hp, combined with extensive visual modifications that make it look like Darth Vader’s vehicle of choice – well, that or a modern ’66 Batmobile with all those red pin stripes. The MH4 GTR II is probably the most extreme-looking tuned M4 yet, mostly due to the high-contrast red accents and Manhart’s 18-piece carbon body kit. The latter includes a prominent splitter, canards, a vented hood, side skirts, diffuser extensions, and a rear spoiler, all made of carbon fiber. Interior upgrades include special floor mats, Schroth four-point racing harnesses for the M Carbon full bucket seats, a Clubsport roll bar, and a carbon-fiber motorsport helmet for track days.

The MH4 GTR II sits on a new set of 20-inch forged alloy wheels by Yido Performance finished in Matte Black with two orange-red spokes. The rims are shod in mixed tires measuring 275/30/R20 at the front and 295/30/R20 at the back. The car is lowered thanks to the addition of new height-adjustable H&R coil springs. For those who are not satisfied with the carbon-ceramic brakes of the stock M4 CSL, Manhart is also offering the option of upgraded brakes.

 

More importantly, the tuned twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine produces 692 hp and 880 Nm thanks to the addition of the MHtronic auxiliary control unit. Those numbers represent a significant increase over the 543 hp and 650 Nm of the stock CSL, making the MH4 GTR II the most powerful BMW M4 in Manhart’s current range.

The Wuppertal-based tuner added its own stainless steel exhaust system with quad carbon or ceramic-coated 110 mm tailpipes. There is a choice between sport downpipes, racing downpipes without catalytic converters, or OPF Delete replacement pipes. The BMW M4 CSL has a limited production of 1,000 units, which is why Manhart is also offering the option of building the MH4 GTR II on the far more widely available BMW M4 Competition.
