MBP or Moto Bologna Passione has taken the wraps off the new T1002V adventure bike, which is set to go on sale in the UK in the coming months. The Italian-origin brand will soon make its India debut, at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023.

The new T1002V has an upright stance, with a majority of the mass being concentrated at the front end. It features twin LED headlamps, a tall windscreen, a small beak-like front fender and a substantial luggage rack at the rear. MBP is offering the ADV in four colours – Red MBP, Silver, Sand and Matte Green. Powering the ADV is a 997cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine that puts out 94 hp at 7,600 rpm and 102 Nm at 6,500 rpm, transmitted through a 6-speed gearbox.

As for the dimensions, the T1002V measures 2,245mm in length, 965mm in width, 1,450mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 1,582mm. The seat height is set at 820mm, the fuel capacity is 21 litres, while the ground clearance is 190mm. MBP says the ADV weighs 235kg, but this is just the dry weight which doesn’t account for fluids.

In terms of the chassis, the T1002V uses a perimeter frame, suspended by a preload-adjustable KYB USD fork up front and a KYB monoshock at the rear. MPB has given the T1002V wire-spoke wheels, with the front being a 19-inch unit and the rear being 17-inch. It’s shod with knobby, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, with the sizes being 120/70-19 at the front and 170/60-17 at the rear. Braking duties are handled by twin 320mm discs up front and a single 260mm disc at the rear, featuring J.Juan calipers and Bosch’s ABS system at both ends.

When launched, the MBP T1002V will have to contend with the BMW F 850 GS and the Triumph Tiger 900. MBP is expected to launch the T1002V in the UK in the coming months, alongside the C1002V cruiser motorcycle.
