The part-electric Chery Tiggo 8 Pro SUV is set to go on sale in China in February with three motors pushing out a combined 326 PS. CarNewsChina believes the prices may begin as low as 175,000 CNY (US$ 26,000).
The hybrid SUV will differ from its
gas-only counterpart by a DP-I badge and vivid exterior accents. It will
receive a 1.5-liter petrol engine and two electric motors. Equipment-wise, an
infotainment system using a pair of 12.3-inch displays and a Level 2 driver
assistance system will be included as standard. The interior will accommodate
either five or seven passengers.
The Pro version debuted in China last
spring, offering a more premium alternative to the Tiggo 8 Plus. It
received a mild redesign with a recognizable radiator grille and a revised
interior layout.
