The Dongfeng Aeolus Haohan is a smaller crossover SUV targeting the younger audiences in China with its novel appearance and a number of powertrains to choose from, even though only one has been announced so far. The sales should start later this spring, AutoHome reports.

The new model sports elaborate wheel arches, a frameless front grille and special headlights. Judging by the photos, paid options will include an aero kit and a contrast top. Quad tailpipes at the rear end suggest that there is an ICE engine inside, and the manufacturer adds that it is a 1.5-liter turbo mill rated at 204 PS. Hybrid options should be added later.

The car itself measures 4,650 x 1,905 x 1,630 mm with 2,775 mm between the axles, making it comparable with the likes of the Toyota RAV4 and Haval F7. The wheels come in sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches.

Along with a full reveal of the Aeolus Haohan, Dongfeng plans to introduce a new modular car architecture named DSMA 2.0. There is still no details on that one.
