In May last year, Mansory unveiled its extreme take on the Ferrari SF90 Stradale dubbed the F9XX and at the time, we thought it was as crazy as an SF90 could get. However, the tuner has outdone itself with the F9XX version of the SF90 Spider which will be even more rarer than the Coupe and due to the lack of a fixed roof, looks even more dramatic. The overall design of the new model, officially dubbed the F9XX Tempesta Celeste, is very similar to the Coupe. As such, the exterior is dominated with lightweight carbon fiber parts that start at the front end with a sharp splitter that could shatter ankles at just the slightest touch. Mansory has also developed a new bumper for the hybrid supercar while also altering the grille and air intakes.
Changes continue with a bespoke hood that
includes an exposed element of forged carbon fiber that extends to pronounced
air louvers on both of the front quarter panels. Ultra-light forged wheels
measuring 21×9.5 at the front and 22×12 at the rear have also been fitted to
the Ferrari and are wrapped in 255/30 front and 335/25 rear tires.
Mansory has also crafted new wing mirror
caps for the SF90 alongside distinctive side skirts and aerodynamic fins. The
rear buttresses are also clad in forged carbon fiber and there is a new carbon
fiber engine cover. The only obvious difference between Mansory’s SF90 Spider
and its Coupe is that the former has aerodynamic rear wings inspired by those
of the Ferrari FXX K sitting above the standard wing while the Coupe has a
second fixed wing extended across the width of the rear.
A raft of modifications have also been
made to the powertrain of the SF90 Spider. In fact, the 4.0-liter
twin-turbocharged V8 has been modified so it alone produces 980 hp and 980 Nm of torque. The trio of electric motors have been left untouched,
meaning the car delivers a combined 1,100 hp, allowing the supercar to hit 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and continue through to 355 km/h. The
interior of the Mansory F9XX Tempesta Celeste has also been overhauled with
plenty of new leather and carbon fiber components. Customers will be able to
spec out their dream cabin so we expect each of the three examples being
produced to look quite different from each other inside.
