Roush Performance is back with a new package that promises to make the Ford Super Duty a “powerhouse.” Extra horsepower doesn’t seem to be on the menu but there are enough exterior design differences that most won’t notice. Here’s a breakdown of what Roush Super Duty owners get for their US$ 13,400 or more. It’s worth noting right off the bat that the Roush Super Duty isn’t without its performance upgrades. It gets a dual-tipped “performance” DPF-back exhaust, a Roush FOX 2.0 performance suspension, and slotted brake rotors. Anything that makes a vehicle this unwieldy steer and brake better is music to our ears.
What Roush hopes will be alluring to the
eyes are all the visual changes to this pickup. The exterior of the truck
benefits from an off-road tire and wheel package including 20-inch satin black
Roush wheels and 35-inch General Grabber A/TX all-terrain tires. The body of
the Roush Super Duty gets color-matched fenders, integrated accent lighting,
and a redesigned Roush grille badge. The interior gets a Roush console badge, a
Roush gauge cluster, and Roush floor liners by WeatherTech. Roush took full
advantage of the vast real estate on this truck to advertise their brand.
Buyers can also add the Roush Ready
Package with a console vault and an off-road utility kit. Other options include
premium leather, a USA Flag Tag, embroidered headrests, and a Roush Rocker
Graphic upgrade. Pricing starts at US$ 13,400 which clearly doesn’t include the
donor Ford truck.
Notably, it’s plausible that this big
truck does indeed offer more horsepower. Perhaps the change was too small to
mention. It’s not as if the stock 500 hp and 1,625 Nm of
torque is anything to sneeze at. Either way, we’ve asked Roush Performance
