The QuietKat Lynx rugged electric bicycle has been announced. The new QuietKat Lynx comes with a two-speed hub motor with an output of 1,000W. The e-bike comes with several tech features and a decent battery.
The QuietKat Lynx is signposted by its
design employing café racer-inspired aesthetics. It also has a mix of off-road
rugged features. The Lynx is Moto-inspired and comes with a high fender, round
headlight, and a contoured rail section with a luggage rack. It has a long travel
suspension system, a full-suspension frame, and 24 x 4.5-inch tires. The e-bike
comes with a sprinkling of tech features including LED lights, GPS tracking,
and Bluetooth connectivity.
The QuietKat Lynx is manufactured by
Colorado-based e-bike manufacturer QuietKat. It is viewed in the US as an
electric bicycle and is made from simple bicycle components. Its max power
output of 1,000W means that the bike packs power from its two-speed,
hub-mounted motor. The battery pack of the e-bike is integrated into the bike’s
downtube but QuietKat remains silent on the battery capacity. The QuietKat Lynx
e-bike’s seat is not adjustable, which restricts the ergonomic and versatility
aspects of the model.
The moto-inspired saddle of the Lynx is
made of synthetic leather which is quite appealing to vegan enthusiasts. There
are no official pricing details yet for the QuietKat Lynx as well as
availability details. It is however expected that the QuietKat Lynx will launch
later this year and could be priced around the US$ 4,000 threshold in the US.
