If there’s one aftermarket tuner out there that’s perfected the recipe of modifying supercars without going overboard, it would have to be Novitec. Now, the tuner has released its latest creation, dubbed the N-Largo S, based on the 812 Superfast.
The tuner is building just three examples
of the ultimate Ferrari 812, all of which have been sold. Upgrades start with
the bodywork where Novitec has crafted a host of new parts out of carbon fiber,
including the flared front and rear fenders and rocker panels. This being a
Ferrari, Novitec opted against fitting it with any kind of towering rear wing
and instead has developed a lip spoiler from carbon which the tuner says helps
to increase downforce “significantly.”
Complementing these changes are a variety
of other exterior upgrades. These include a new carbon fiber rear diffuser and
an entirely new front fascia with a pronounced splitter and new air intakes,
elements that help to reduce lift at the front axle. Helping to tie everything
together is a set of wheels created in partnership with Vossen. The wheels
measure 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear and are wrapped in
275/30 and 335/25 tires respectively.
The overall stance of the 812 N-Largo S
really is a sight to behold. Novitec’s changes mean it is now 14 cm wider than a stock Ferrari 812 and it also sits lower thanks to new
springs that drop the ride height by 35 mm. The car doesn’t
completely sacrifice practicality either as it can also be optioned with a
front-lift system that raises the car by around 40 mm.
In typical Novitec style, the engine has
also been fettled with. New maps developed in-house for the ignition and
injection mean the screaming 6.5-liter V12 is good for 840 hp at 8,750 rpm and 751 Nm of torque. A custom exhaust is also available in either
stainless steel or Inconel, the same material they use in the exhausts of
Formula One cars. Novitec says the 812 N-Largo S can hit 100 km/h in 2.8
seconds and reach a 345 km/h top speed.
