BMW is preparing to launch the all-new M5, but owners of the lower trims of the new 5-Series will soon gain access to comprehensive tuning packages by AC Schnitzer. The German tuner has announced that they are working on a series of exterior, interior, handling, and performance modifications for the 5-Series, which are set to become available in 2024 To break the ice, AC Schnitzer has offered a sneak peek of their initial offerings, which are currently limited to wheels and spacers. On their official website, you can explore a trio of wheel designs tailored for the 5-Series, which can be paired with a range of high-performance tires.

The available options include the 21-inch AC3 wheels, as shown in the pictured example, the 20-inch AC4 style, and the timeless AC1 style, offered in both 19-inch and 20-inch variants. These choices are further enhanced by wheel locking sets, bolt covers, and spacers, which provide an additional 10 mm of width to both the front and rear axles of the 5-Series.

The next phase will be a set of aero upgrades, designed to be compatible with both the sedan (G60) and Touring (G61) models. Drawing from AC Schnitzer’s earlier bodykits, these subtle additions are anticipated to encompass a front splitter, aero flicks, side skirts, a rear wing, and a revamped diffuser, enhancing the existing M Package. Additionally, AC Schnitzer also promised to offer accessories for the interior, creating a sporty ambience.

More importantly, the company confirmed they are working on performance upgrades for the gasoline, hybrid, and diesel trims of the 5-Series, which means that only the fully electric i5 is left out of the equation. The extra power will be combined with suspension kits, with lowered and stiffer springs aiming to improve the handling credentials of the executive sedan and wagon. We’ll know more about the upcoming modifications in 2024, as AC Schnitzer progressively adds them to their online catalog. The tuner said that each component will also be available separately, so owners can choose the most fitting options for their BMW 5-Series build.
