Brabus has once again worked its tuning magic on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E-Performance, but this time around, the result is its most powerful creation in 47 years. Only 25 vehicles like this will be made starting from a cool € 535,500.
Back in 2020, the same company tackled the
AMG GT in a project called Rocket 900 after the car’s horsepower rating. The
new one is aptly named Rocket 1000 and takes advantage of a V8 engine bored out
from 4 to 4.5 liters of displacement. As a result, its nominal output maxes out
at 1,000 PS and 1,820 Nm of torque.
In order to keep the transmission at least
somewhat reliable, the torque will be capped at 1,620 Nm on all
customer-bound examples. As for the 204-PS electric motor
driving the rear wheels, it stays untouched.
Design-wise, the widebody kit resembles
that of the 2006 Brabus Rocket. There is an impressively sized spoiler with
side winglets, a composite rear wing and an enlarged rear diffuser to go with
it. Like its predecessors, the Rocket 1000 rides on Monoblock P rims sized 21”
front and 22” rear. A lowered suspension rounds off the exterior styling.
Inside, the entire trim is new and has
number 77 embroidered and etched throughout – a nod to the tuning company’s
year of establishment, 1977.
