It’s that time of year again when Jeep gears up to release a boatload of concepts onto the rugged landscapes of Moab, Utah. Whetting our appetite for the 58th annual Easter Jeep Safari scheduled between March 23-31, the automaker offered a glimpse of the off-road-centric concepts set to conquer the demanding trails in the 2024 edition of the event. Jeep described the models as an “entirely new collection of attention-grabbing, mission-capable concept vehicles”, featuring a wide range of Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) by Mopar. The good news is that some of these might end up being offered for sale, as the company often uses concepts to test the public’s reaction to upcoming products.
Some of the official teasers recently
published on Jeep’s Facebook and Instagram pages focus on small details but
others are quite revealing. Overall, we count five Wrangler-based builds, one
Gladiator, and one Grand Wagoneer, but we wouldn’t be surprised if more
modified Jeeps appear in the future. Among the highlights is a teal Jeep Grand
Wagoneer with discreet wood paneling on the profile, white roof and pillars,
and a matching set of alloy wheels shod in grippy tires. The large SUV also has
retractable side steps, extra LEDs, and a tent mounted on the roof. Inside, the
seat upholstery combines brown leather and tartan fabric, completing the
nostalgic references.
Another concept starring in multiple
photos is a green Jeep Wrangler featuring the 2024MY grille and “Willys”
lettering on the hood. This one also comes with a Warn winch on the front
bumper, and retro-flavored fabric upholstery for the dashboard. Moving on, one
of the official sketches depicts a Wrangler with a 392 emblem on its
red-and-white livery. We can also see sporty vents on the body-colored fenders,
and a bulged hood suggesting it comes fitted with the 6.4-liter Hemi V8. This
concept could preview the upcoming 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 ‘Final
Edition’ although no one can be certain before the big reveal. Finally, there
is another cool Wrangler with a military-style wrap, and a red “short cut”
convertible with “lower forty” graphics on the hood.
