Ather has introduced its latest electric scooter, the Rizta, tailored for families in India at Ather Community Day 24 in Bengaluru. Marking a new addition to their lineup alongside the Ather 450 series, the Rizta offers two variants: S and Z. In terms of design, the Rizta opts for a more conservative look compared to its sportier 450-series counterparts. It features a horizontally arranged headlight cluster with integrated DRLs and indicators.
The scooter boasts a spacious seat, being
the largest Ather has made, with ample storage space under the seat and a front
storage bin. Additionally, an optional frunk attachment provides even more
storage capacity. Powering the Rizta is a potent PMS electric motor, offering
brisk acceleration from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 80
km/h. The scooter is available with two battery options, providing TruRange of
105km and 125km respectively, with a warranty of five years/60,000km. IDC range
is 123km and 160km, respectively. Charging times range from 4hr 30 min to 6hr
40 min for 0-80% charge. Ather ensures accessibility to chargers with its
extensive fast-charging network of about with 2500+ points across 170 cities.
The Rizta S features a Cortex Series
processor, running on a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) with 8GB storage and
1GB RAM, while the Rizta Z is equipped with a Snapdragon 212 Quadcore
processor, 16GB storage, and 2GB RAM, operating on Android Open Source OS
(AOSP). Both feature touchscreen displays with IP65 water and dust resistance. On
the features front, the Rizta offers a range of options, including a 7-inch
color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation for the Z variant,
and a ‘deepview’ LCD display for the S variant. Notably, it includes an
under-seat wireless charger for the Ather Halo smart helmet.
The Rizta features an
underbone chassis, telescopic forks, monoshock suspension, and 12-inch wheels
with MRF tires. Safety features include Ather Skid Control technology, ESS
system, and Ather Fall Safe feature. Updates to Ather Stack 6 software enhance
the riding experience with coasting regen enabled and over-the-air updates up
to Gen 3. The scooter offers two riding modes – SmartEco and Zip, alongside
Park Assist and auto hill hold.
The Ather Rizta is available for
pre-booking on the company’s official website at Rs. 999 with deliveries
starting from July 24, 2024, priced as follows:
- Ather Rizta ‘S’ (2.9 kWh Battery), available in three colors – Rs. 1,09,999
- Ather Rizta ‘Z’ (2.9 kWh Battery), available in seven colors – Rs. 1,24,999
- Ather Rizta ‘Z’ (3.7 kWh Battery), available in seven colors – Rs. 1,44,999
Additionally, Ather Energy has introduced
the Halo smart helmet priced at Rs. 14,999 with an introductory offer at Rs.
12,999, and the lightweight Halo Bit helmet at Rs. 4,999.
