Hennessey introduced their H850 program for the Ford Mustang Dark Horse last summer and now the company has revealed the high-performance pony car has gone into production. On top of that, they’ve revealed performance data for the model. Starting under the hood, the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 has been equipped with a new fuel pump, upgraded fuel injectors, and a supercharger. They’re joined by a high-flow air induction system and a high-performance engine tune. Thanks to these modifications, the output rises from 500 hp and 566 Nm of torque to 850 hp and 880 Nm of torque. That’s an increase of 350 hp and 314 Nm.

The sizable jump in numbers is reflected in the real-world as Hennessey-tuned Mustangs with a ten-speed automatic transmission accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 3.2 seconds and run the quarter mile in 10.9 seconds at 214 km/h. The stock model, on the other hand, requires 3.7 seconds to hit 96 km/h and runs the quarter mile in 12 seconds at 190.5 km/h.

Hennessey didn’t mention pricing, but said the H850 “delivers serious bang for buck alongside supercar-like performance and the glory of a supercharged V8 soundtrack.” The company also noted the model comes with embroidered headrests, H850 badging, and a three-year or 36,000 mile limited warranty. The vehicle can also be had with a manual transmission.
