The Geely Icon Butterfly is shaping up to become the cheapest crossover in the Icon lineup, AutoHome reports. Compared to the current version, it is going to look the same and have the same powertrain while dropping the price below 100,000 Yuan.
It is still unclear how Geely intends to
reduce the costs. Based on the images released today, the exterior is unchanged
except for flush door handles and a new finish. AutoHome believes that the
interior trim will see the biggest simplification, but there will still be
three trim levels to choose from.
The original Icon model has been in
production since 2020, and received an update in 2022. It is 4.35 meters long
with 2.64 meters between the axles. In China, it is bundled with a 1.5-liter
turbo engine rated at 181 PS and 290 Nm of
torque. The transmission is seven-speed DCT without any further options. Prices
range from 109,900 to 129,900 Yuan.
