In the latest release of the “Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturer and Product Announcements” catalog of China, a noteworthy addition has caught the attention of automotive enthusiasts. The report gives details of the new BYD Song PLUS DM-i model, marking the 383rd batch of announcements.
The new version keeps the same overall
design as the previous one but makes noticeable changes to the rear details and
swaps the “BUILD YOUR DREAMS” logo for the “BYD” emblem. Despite these changes,
the vehicle stays the same size, measuring 4775 mm long, 1890 mm wide, and 1670 mm
tall, with a wheelbase of 2765 mm.
The latest BYD Song PLUS DM-i model now
features the “BYD472QC” engine while keeping its 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid
setup. However, the engine’s maximum power output has decreased slightly from
81 kilowatts to 74 kilowatts. In contrast, the electric motor in the new model
shows an increase in power, capable of delivering up to 160 kilowatts compared
to the prior model’s 145 kilowatts.
For prospective buyers, the pricing
structure remains competitive and diverse, catering to varying preferences and
needs. The existing Song PLUS DM-i Honor Edition, priced at 129,800 yuan,
offers a range of options including the 71 km luxury model, 110 km flagship
model, 110 km flagship PLUS, 150 km flagship PLUS, and 150 km flagship PLUS 5G,
with prices ranging up to 169,800 yuan.
This comprehensive update highlights BYD’s
commitment to innovation and responsiveness to market demands, positioning the
new Song PLUS DM-i model as a compelling choice.
