BMW has unveiled the new M4 GT3 EVO before the 24 Hours at the Nurburgring. The new car will start racing next year and has undergone a series of modifications designed to make it better than its predecessor. The changes start on the visual front. BMW hasn’t painted the M4 GT3 EVO but uses a significantly lighter cathodic dip coating. It has also installed smaller wing mirrors, increased the size of the air outlets on the front wheel arches, and tweaked the adjustment settings on the rear wing. The updated headlights and taillights of the road-going model have also been installed.

BMW has also made some minor performance upgrades. These include the fitment of new anti-roll bars on the front and rear axles, larger rear brake discs, and a new differential that’s easier to adjust and will result in less tire and brake wear, improving drivability.

 

Driving the M4 GT3 EVO is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six with up to 590 hp that’s mated to an X-Trac six-speed transmission. It’ll set back racing teams an eye-watering € 578,000 (US$ 625,000).

The M4 GT4 EVO debuts alongside the new M4 GT3 EVO. It, too, has received refreshed headlights and taillights and, like its sibling, has been unveiled in a special ‘Inception’ design theme incorporating the colors of the BMW M brand.
