The 24 Hours of Le Mans kicks off this weekend and Cadillac will be back in action, looking to improve on last year’s third place finish. That’s no easy feat, but the company is celebrating the iconic race with two new special editions. The first is the 2025 CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud, which celebrates the 75th anniversary of the 1950 Cadillac “Petit Pataud.” It was a Le Mans race car based on a Series 61 Coupe, which featured a 5.4-liter V8 pumping out 160 hp.
The (production) special edition is far
more powerful as it has a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 developing 472 hp and 603 Nm of torque. It enables the model to rocket from 0-96 km/h in 4.1 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 304
km/h. The 2025 CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre pays tribute to the 75th anniversary
of the 1950 Cadillac “Le Monstre” as well as the 101st anniversary of the first
Le Mans race. It sports a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 pumping out 668 hp and 892 Nm of torque.
While the powertrains are different, both
special editions have a unique Magnus Matte exterior with Stormhawk blue tinted
carbon fiber components. They’re joined by gloss black mirror caps, black
badging, and Royal Blue brake calipers. The Cadillacs also have a “heritage
number graphic” on the doors.
The two-tone design continues in the cabin
as customers will find a “Phantom Blue interior and Santorini accents in your
choice of Sky Cool Gray or Jet Black.” Other highlights include a 3D printed
manual transmission shifter medallion, laser-etched door sill plates, and
heritage number stitching on the seats. We can also see a unique plaque and
blue carbon fiber trim.
Both models are expected to be available
early next year and production of the CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud will be
limited to 50 units. The CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre won’t be as rare as the
company plans to build 101.
