Nissan unveiled the updated version of the Note Aura in Japan. The model gains a redesigned face, new wheels, and revised interior trim. Besides the standard Note Aura, Nissan also showed the Autech and 90th Anniversary special editions and confirmed that the performance-focused Nismo will debut in July. The Nissan Note Aura was introduced in 2021 as an upmarket version of the Nissan Note with distinct styling and a more powerful hybrid powertrain. Following the debut of the facelifted Note last year, it was expected that the Note Aura would receive a similar treatment, bringing it more in line with Nissan’s latest styling language.

Visual updates are focused on the front end, where the Note Aura gains a wider grille and a sportier bumper. Highlights included the new inserts under the LED headlights, which can be finished in the body color, chrome, or copper (90th Anniversary trim). The 17-inch alloy wheels feature a futuristic design, while the lower rear fascia is more sculpted than before.

 

Inside, the layout is carried over from the outgoing model, but Nissan designers added new options for the trim. There is a new Weimaraner style inspired by hunting dogs with a “grayish brown hue”, a combination of jacquard fabric with synthetic leather, and a black specification with fresh wood grain inserts. Equipment has been slightly improved across the range with a standard power seat for the driver, an enlarged glove box (as in the regular Note), and an illuminated USB-C slot. As for the special editions, the 90th Anniversary adds copper accents, black alloy wheels, and more premium interior upholstery.

On the other hand, the Nissan Note Aura Autech has a version-specific bodykit with aerodynamic extensions for the bumpers and side skirts, a chrome-infused grille, and a new set of wheels. There is also the signature Autech-exclusive blue shade with a black roof and extra LEDs on the lower portion of the front bumper. Inside, the Autech treatment includes black leather with blue stitching and dark gray accents. The facelifted Nissan Note Aura Nismo set to arrive next month is expected to feature an even sportier bodykit and similar touches inside the cabin.

 

Nissan didn’t mention any changes to the e-Power powertrain of the Note Aura which rides on Renault’s CMF-B architecture. The self-charging hybrid setup comprises a 1.2-liter gasoline engine that produces 80 hp and works as a generator, working together with single (2WD) or dual (AWD) electric motors. The front-mounted e-motor is good for 134 hp, while the optional rear e-motor makes 67 hp adding AWD capabilities.

The facelifted Nissan Note Aura is available to order in Japan. Pricing starts from ¥ 2,779,700 (US$ 17,642) for the entry-level 2WD version and climbs to ¥ 3,331,900 (US$ 21,147) for the flagship Autech 4WD.
