The Kia Soul is often overlooked, but it’s rolling into 2025 with an all-new special edition. Dubbed the Soulmate, it aims to be a match made in heaven. However, there isn’t much to get excited about as the special edition adds a two-tone roof, lower body cladding, and unique 18-inch alloy wheels. The upgrades continue inside with a Harman Kardon premium audio system as well as an Umber interior featuring SynTex and cloth seats.

The special edition package is available exclusively on the range-topping EX and costs US$ 1,000. This means customers will need to shell out US$ 25,590 before factoring in the US$ 1,375 destination fee. There doesn’t appear to be any other changes, but prices have crept up US$ 100 across the board. As a result, the 2025 Soul starts at US$ 20,290 which is a slight increase over last year’s base price of US$ 20,190. In terms of equipment, the entry-level Soul LX is pretty bare bones as it has 16-inch steel wheels, conventional lighting units, a polyurethane steering wheel, and sun visors that lack illumination. However, buyers will find air conditioning, privacy glass, and an 8-inch infotainment system.

Despite its entry-level status, the Kia comes with a host of driver assistance systems including Forward Collision Avoidance, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Departure Warning. They’re joined by High Beam Assist and Rear Occupant Alert.

Regardless of which trim is selected, all Souls are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 147 hp and 179 Nm of torque. It’s connected to an intelligent variable transmission, which sends power exclusively to the front wheels.
