The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado is making its way to dealers and the bowtie brand has announced pricing will begin at US$ 38,995 including a US$ 1,995 destination fee. That’s a slight increase over last year’s pickup, which began at US$ 38,795. It’s also pretty favorable when you look at the competition as the 2025 Ford F-150 begins at US$ 40,605 while the Ram 1500 will set you back at least US$ 42,270. Big Three aside, the 2025 Toyota Tundra begins at US$ 42,035. So what’s new for the cheapest full-size truck in America? Not much as there’s a revised color palette that includes new hues known as Cypress Gray and Riptide Blue. Customers will also find a set of newly available 20-inch wheels with a high gloss black finish.
Besides the styling tweaks, a handful of
trims have additional standard equipment. In particular, the Work Truck (WT)
gains cruise control while LT and above trims now come equipped with a trailer
brake controller. The off-road focused ZR2 now sports a premium audio system as
well as front and rear park assist.
Under the hood, customers will find an
assortment of familiar engines including a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder
developing 310 hp and 582 Nm of torque. Customers
can also opt for 5.3- and 6.2-liter V8s with 355 hp and 420
hp. If gas isn’t your thing, there’s a 3.0-liter turbodiesel
inline-six developing 305 hp and 670 Nm of
torque.
Getting back to pricing, Chevrolet noted
the Silverado Custom Trail Boss is the “most affordable factory-lifted,
full-size, light-duty truck in the industry.” It starts at US$ 53,795 and
features a 2-inch lift as well as a Z71 suspension.
