It took longer than expected for Mansory to unveil its take on the Ferrari Purosangue, but the Bavarian tuner has finally delivered, catering to the often unique tastes of its wealthy clientele. The Mansory Pugnator, as it’s called, is a “complete conversion” of the super crossover with aggressive visual modifications, new wheels, and a modest performance boost for those who think the stock Purosangue just wasn’t flashy or loud enough. The Pugnator, derived from the Latin word for “competitor”, sports a custom bodykit made of forged carbon color-matched to the car’s Vermillion red finish. And if you were hoping to spot any Ferrari branding, don’t bother. Mansory has swapped out the iconic prancing horse emblems for its own badges. As you’d imagine, subtlety isn’t in the game plan here.
The oversized add-ons and over-the-top
intakes on the front bumper might look like a glitch in a bad design software
demo, but Mansory insists they “significantly improve” downforce on the front
axle. The body is littered with fins, creases, and air intakes, giving the
Pugnator that signature “Mansory on steroids” look. Love it or hate it, you
won’t miss it. The hood, made entirely of carbon fiber, complements the wheel
arch extensions, fender-mounted vents, massive side gills, and faux side
intakes slapped onto the rear doors. The rear doesn’t offer much relief for the
eyes, either, with a massive diffuser housing quad exhaust pipes, a forged
carbon rear fascia, and a rear wing large enough to rival an aircraft spoiler.
The Pugnator rolls on new FC.5 one-piece
forged alloy wheels, 22 inches up front and 23 inches in the rear. Mansory is
planning to offer these in a variety of colors and sizes for its other
creations, though how they’ll fare in improving the driving experience is
anyone’s guess. Performance tires are part of the package, but there’s no word
on suspension tweaks. Apparently, even Mansory has limits. Ferrari’s 6.5-liter
V12 already produces a healthy 715 hp and 715 Nm straight from the factory, but Mansory wouldn’t be Mansory without tinkering
under the hood. The tuner gave the V12 a mild boost via an ECU remap, a new
exhaust system with flap control, and sports catalytic converters, nudging output
to 745 hp and 730 Nm. It’s a small upgrade, but
enough to make you feel that little bit more special while stuck in Monaco
traffic.
Moving inside, the cabin has been coated
in ivory-colored leather with red accents and matching carbon inserts. The
seats, armrests, and door panels have been reupholstered with a new perforated
pattern. The tuner even threw in aluminum pedals, quilted floor mats, and,
naturally, an overload of Mansory badges. And if that’s not enough
customization for you, rest assured, every Pugnator can be tailored to its
owner’s every whim. Mansory hasn’t disclosed the price of the Pugnator, but
considering its usual “money is no object” approach, expect it to rival the
cost of a small island. The modified Ferrari Purosangue made its debut at the
Monaco Yacht Show, where it’s bound to catch the eye of anyone looking to
one-up their neighbor’s latest supercar purchase.
