In July, Carlex Design got our knees weak and palms sweaty when it previewed its retro-inspired Mercedes-Benz G-Class, known as the G-Vintage. Now, it has built the first few examples, and they look really stunning. Two-tone exterior paint schemes immediately invoke a sense of yesteryear with Carlex’s G-Vintage, and start with a flashy example combining orange with silver. Pictured on the snow, the lower half of the Mercedes is finished in a highly reflective tone of orange with chrome accents running along the doors. The top half of the 4×4, including the cabin and wing mirrors, has been painted silver.

Elsewhere, the G-Wagen rocks a subtle silver pinstripe running around the entire body and now supports a new spare wheel cover finished in orange with a chrome outer ring. There’s a lot more to like about the exterior. For example, it has carbon fiber front and rear bumpers that now rock a shiny chrome finish and rolls on a set of special 20-inch wheels in chrome and orange.

The interior is just as special. Carlex has adorned the seats, door panels, dashboard, and steering wheel in plush white leather. Several orange elements are also found throughout, including the piping running around the edges of the seats, as well as strips on the door panels and transmission tunnel. Carlex has also whipped up a second example. It has a two-tone green and silver finish with a red pinstripe. Sporting the same chrome bumpers, it looks equally as cool as the orange one. The interior is quite different, however, as the white leather has been ditched in favor of a deep chocolate brown leather with orange accents.

The tuner has also showcased a third G-Vintage. It has a more subtle two-tone silver paint finish with teal pinstriping. While the exterior is subtle, the interior is anything but. Found inside is bright teal leather across almost every single surface, only toned down slightly by some black elements.
