The Subaru BRZ lineup is expanding for 2025 as the company has announced plans for a new Series.Purple special edition. It will debut at Subiefest Texas on October 19 and be limited to 500 units. While the company only released a teaser image, they confirmed the coupe will have a unique Galaxy Purple Pearl exterior with black badging. The model will also ride on special 18-inch wheels that sport a new satin silver finish.
The upgrades continue inside as there are
front sport seats with black Ultrasuede upholstery that contrasts with grey
leather bolsters. They’re joined by grey contrast stitching, a red STI start
button, and an aluminum shift knob. Since the special edition is based on the
Limited trim, buyers should also find a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and
an 8-inch infotainment system. Other highlights include a premium audio system,
dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated front seats.
Power is provided by a naturally aspirated
2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 228 hp and 249 Nm of torque. It’s connected exclusively to a six-speed manual with
an STI short throw shifter. Sticking with the performance theme, the special
edition comes equipped with a flexible V-bar that resides under the hood and
promises to improve performance. Buyers will also find the usual limited-slip
differential and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 summer tires.
The 2025 Subaru BRZ Series.Purple will
arrive at U.S. dealerships early next year and pricing will begin at US$ 35,445.
That’s a US$ 1,700 premium over the Limited trim, which costs US$ 33,745.
