2016 Jaguar Formula E
Jaguar will officially return to
motorsports by entering in late 2016 the FIA Formula E Championship with their
own team.
The British company will take advantage
of their entry in the only global electric-powered single-seater car
championship in order to further develop their future EV powertrains and
battery technology.
Jaguar is currently developing an
all-electric crossover which according to the rumors will be a standalone model
in their range and will offer 300 miles of driving range. This will be the
first of Jaguar Land Rover’s all-electric future models planned.
Williams Advanced Engineering will be
the technical partner to the Jaguar Formula E team, the same company which
helped them in the development of the C-X75 plug-in hybrid supercar concept.
