2017 Volvo V90

Volvo had told us to wait until February 18 for the reveal of their all-new V90, but apparently, the internet had other plans, as the first official images of the luxury estate have surfaced.

Based on the new S90 sedan, the V90 adopts a similar rear end styling to Volvo’s Concept Estate model from the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, with distinctive ‘L’ shaped rear lights that extend to the car’s roof, along with a slanted rear window that give it a less boxy look than the V70 it essentially replaces.

It retains the same design with the S90 sedan from which it borrows its powertrain lineup that should include the 407 hp T8 ‘Twin Engine’ plug-in hybrid and 320 hp 2.0-liter turbo petrol, and the 2.0-liter 190 hp D4 and 235 hp D5 diesel engines.

Volvo V90 will be displayed in public for the first time at next month’s Geneva Auto Show, possibly making it to the New York Auto Show a few weeks later for its North American premiere.
