2016 Yamaha R15 Ohlins Special Edition
The 2016 Yamaha R15 with new color
themes has been launched in Indonesia at a starting price of IDR 29.8 million, on-road, Jakarta. Like most refreshes by Yamaha, the
Indonesia-spec R15 features no mechanical changes whatsoever.
The fully faired compact sportsbike is
now available in three new color themes – Speed Grey, Racing Blue and Supernova
White. New decal design goes well with the revised color themes. Each color has
its own unique livery design. The Racing Blue variant went a step further to
adopt blue finished alloy wheels.
The 149 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled
engine continues to be mated with a 6-speed gearbox. Power and torque figures
stand at 16.5 PS at 8,500 rpm and 14.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.
Yamaha Indonesia has also announced a
new special edition model to promote the refreshed motorcycle. Called as the
2016 Yamaha R15 Ohlins edition, the limited edition variant features an
upmarket Ohlins rear monoshock. The special edition model can be booked via
R15’s official Indonesian website for a period of 30 days between March 15 and
April 14.
The 2016 Yamaha R15 Ohlins special
edition is priced at IDR 32.8 million.
There are no other mechanical changes apart from the rear suspension.
