2017 VW Amarok
These are the first sketches showing the
revised VW Amarok pickup truck, scheduled for reveal at a later date.
VW’s ‘premium’ pickup truck will be
subjected to a subtle redesign on key areas like the front end, with the
company also updating the cabin with better quality materials, more tech and a
freshened design.
Although the company remains mum about
the details, we expect also to see VW’s latest safety systems on the 2017
Amarok, including the Front Assist with City Emergency Braking and Pedestrian
Monitoring system.
From what we can see from the sketches,
the new Amarok is getting a new, sportier front bumper, wider fenders and an
LED treatment for the lights all around.
Previous reports suggest that a new
engine will be added also to the lineup, with the existing units to be
fine-tuned for better fuel efficiency and performance.
Sales are expected to start toward the
end of the year, with the full details still to be announced.
