McLaren 570S M2B Edition
McLaren debuted in Formula 1 at the 1966
Monaco Grand Prix, and 50 years later it pays tribute to its original
racer with a special edition of the 570S.
Dubbed 570S M2B, it was built to
commemorate the M2B F1 car created by its founder, Bruce McLaren, three years
after he set the basis for the his race team, and it was unveiled at the 2016
Monaco GP.
Apart for the special paintwork, which
combines pure white with a central green stripe and silver edging, the Sports
Series machine remains stock in all chapters. Power continues to come from the
same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, as the rest of the McLaren's modern
lineup, which is capable of sending, in this case, 570 PS and 600 Nm to the rear wheels. Zero to 100 km/h takes 3.2 seconds and
top speed is 328 km/h.
Equipped with Brake Steer technology,
carbon ceramic brakes and the carbon fiber MonoCell II, the McLaren 570S uses
double-wishbone suspension on all four corners with adjustable dampers. At the
touch of a button, three driving modes become available: Normal, Sport and
Track, ranging from comfort in daily commute to an emphasis on pure driving
characteristics.
