All-new Nissan Serena
The current, fourth generation Nissan
Serena, launched in Japan in November 2010, will soon be replaced by the fifth
generation Nissan Serena. The all-new Nissan Serena has been leaked online in
an image published on livedoor Blog.
The all-new Nissan Serena looks much
sharper and angular than the currently sold model. Curves are perfectly blended
with razor-edged creases in the right balance it takes to make a traditionally
boxy minivan notably more appealing than before. New split headlamps, V-shaped
upper chrome grille in chrome finish, redesigned bumper, rectangular foglamps
and a re-sculpted hood round up the changes on the front.
Redesigned door mirrors and new door
panels are the visible changes on the sides. The rear-end is yet to be seen.
The leaked image confirms availability of a two-tone exterior scheme. Three
interior schemes and Panasonic 9-inch infotainment system are the two interior
features known as of now.
The powertrain of the fifth-gen Nissan
Serena isn’t known as of now. The current Serena is offered with a hybrid
powertrain which consists of the MR20DD 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 147 PS and 210 Nm of torque in the the 2WD models or 144
PS and 207 Nm of torque in the 4WD models as the core. The
combustion engine is assisted by the SM23 electric motor that generates 2.4 PS and 53.6 Nm of torque.
