The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak edition
has been launched in India at INR 20.06 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The special
edition adventure tourer is inspired by the Italian sportsbike brand’s previous
victory at the challenging Pikes Peak Hill Climb race.
The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak benefits
from higher spec components compared to the regular 1200 S. The adventure
tourer gets fully adjustable Ohlins front fork, TTX36 rear shock, Ducati
Performance Termignoni exhaust system, and several lightweight carbon fibre
components.
The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak
continues to be powered by the 1,198 cc L-Twin Testastretta engine which is
paired to a 6-speed transmission. The motor has 160 PS and 136 Nm of torque in
store.
The standard equipment of the
Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak edition includes cornering ABS, full LED headlight
system with cornering lights, traction control, cruise control, wheelie control,
etc. The motorcycle is also equipped with Ducati Multimedia System with
Bluetooth connectivity which allows the rider to connect a smartphone and
manage key multimedia functions using the color TFT display on the instrument
console and buttons on the switch gear.
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak
edition is available in white red and black livery with Ducati Red chassis
members. The special edition adventure tourer will be available in India across
Ducati’s showrooms in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.
