The 2017 Triumph Street Triple (facelift) will be launched on January 10, and
Triumph has now released a teaser video on its social media channels.
The teaser boasts that the bike will create a new
benchmark in power weight, handling and looks. The new TFT screen will show
information about riding modes available in the Triumph Street Triple (except
in the base variant). The iconic bug-eyed headlamps have been given a slightly
rounded touch.
The engine is expected to be a derivative of the new
800 cc mill seen in the Triumph Tiger. The present version of the Triumph
Street Triple utilises the 675 cc three pot mill from the Triumph Daytona 675
in a different tune. The new mill is expected to produce a power output ranging
from 110 bhp to 125 bhp, depending on the trim level. The 2017 Triumph Street
triple is also expected to get traction control and ride by wire as standard
along with ABS in all trim levels.
