Yet another Italian beauty catches our attention,
albeit sitting in a showroom waiting for a special someone. This one is a rather subtle and cool Ducati Scrambler. What
makes this model special is the fact that this model, known as the Scrambler
Bavaria edition, is a one-off model waiting to be taken home.
The motorcycle has been customized by the folks at
Bavaria Motors, Pune, (Official dealer of Ducati in the region). This Scrambler
Bavaria edition comes equipped with aftermarket accessories such as clip-on
handlebar, bar-end mirrors and custom made seat. The model also receives a
custom green paintjob and a tail tidy setup.
With the customization being limited to the
aesthetics, this one- off Scrambler continues to be powered by the same 803 cc
L-Twin, Desmodromic air-cooled engine that is capable of producing 75 bhp at 8250 rpm and a peak torque of 68 Nm
at 5750 rpm. This motor comes mated to a six speed transmission sending power
to the rear wheel.
Ducati Bavaria Motors
has quoted a price tag of INR 10 lakh (On-Road, Pune) as compared to the INR
8.20 lakh price tag (On-Road, Pune) that the Scrambler with a red paintjob will
set you back by. INR 1.8 lakh over the standard model, expensive it could be,
but a one-off model will definitely raise the ‘cool’ quotient. You might want
to head to the showroom soon, as the price quoted is inclusive of the INR
90,000 discount currently applicable on the Scrambler range, an offer that
expires on 31st December.
