German tuner ABT has modded the Audi S5 Cabriolet, making it almost as powerful as the RS5, which is only available as a coupe. After applying a few upgrades to the 3.0-liter V6, the tuner has made it deliver 425 PS and 550 Nm of torque, or 66 PS and 50 Nm of torque more than the stock car.

In turn, the tuned S5 Cabriolet is just 25 PS and 50 Nm of torque shy of the new RS5, which needs 3.9 sec to reach 100 km/h from a standstill before topping out at 280 km/h when fitted with the optional dynamic package.

ABT hasn't released any performance details. They do however offer other upgrades for the open-top model, such as a selection of 19- and 20-inch rims available in four patterns and with a variety of finishes, the integrated entrance lights can now project the ABT logo on the ground using LEDs, while special floor mats and valve caps complete the list.

At least for now, as ABT says that aerodynamic upgrades for the S5 are in development and should become available "in just a few weeks".
