Vespa has revealed a limited edition variant of the
Sprint called Sprint Sport at the 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto
Show (2017 GIIAS). The new variant is available in two colours – yellow and
matte silver. Prices are to be announced.
The scooter is essentially the Sprint with
accessories. The Sprint Sport gets a windscreen and a rear luggage rack. The
rear view mirrors, wheels, and exhaust feature a black finish. The scooter
continues with the 154.8cc I-Get (Italian Green Experience Technology) single
cylinder engine that makes 11.82 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 12 Nm of torque
at 5,000 rpm. The ‘I-Get’ feature ensures optimal efficiency and emission
without compromising on performance, claims Vespa. The engine is paired with a
CVT unit.
The front-end uses a single sided trailing link
suspension while the rear employs a preload-adjustable monoshock. The scooter
uses a front 200 mm disc and a rear 140 mm drum brake for anchorage. A
110-section front and 120-section rear tubeless tyres wrap the alloy wheels.
The fuel tank capacity stands at 9 litres. The Vespa
Sprint Sport features an electric saddle opening and a USB port to charge
electronic devices as well.
