If it seems as if Lexus hid the facelifted 2018 CT
200h in Frankfurt by dressing it in black, it's probably because people were
struggling to tell it apart from the previous version in the first place.
Looking at the 2018MY and 2017MY
CT 200h side by side is like trying to figure out which Olsen twin you like
more. You'll probably come up with an answer, but only after taking a few
moments to figure out who's who.
Differences between the two models only include a
new grille, new fog light bezels, different DRL graphics, new wheels, slightly
restyled rear fascia and taillight graphics.
Inside you get new color combos such as two-tone
leather in Sunflare Brown with Noble Brown, or Ochre/Light Ochre and Chateau/Fromage,
as well as new trims like Sunflare Brown Film and Bamboo. Last but not least is
the larger 10.3" infotainment display, which replaces the older model's
7" screen.
Lexus has sold approximately 300,000 units of the CT
200h (through May 2017) since the car was introduced to the public back in
2010. In other words, not spectacular numbers. Currently, it's facing direct
competition from the likes of the Audi A3, BMW 1-Series, Mercedes A-Class,
Volvo V40 and Infiniti Q30.
