The BMW 7 Series Edition 40 Jahre has made its world
debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2017). The BMW 7 Series Edition 40 Jahre celebrates the
40th anniversary of the flagship luxury saloon. It is available in the BMW
Individual Frozen Silver and Petrol Mica metallic colours.
An exclusively
designed edition signet is present on the B pillar and the door sills. M
Aerodynamics Package, the BMW high-gloss Shadow Line and 20-inch BMW Individual
light alloy wheels in a V spoke design are among the exterior styling
highlights.
Inside, the BMW 7 Series Edition 40 Jahre features
BMW Individual Alcantara Smoke White roof liner, BMW Individual full leather
trim Merino fine grain in Smoke White/Cohiba or Smoke White/Black colour
combination with hand woven piping in Smoke White, comfort seats (front &
rear), BMW Individual-made Smoke White comfort cushions with the edition signet
and floor mats in Smoke White with either black or Cohiba brown edge binding.
The passenger-side dashboard of the BMW 7 Series
Edition 40 Jahre also bears the edition signet. Varying as per the upholstery,
the car has interior trim either in a black piano lacquer finish or the
high-grade wood finish Eucalyptus straight-grained Smoke Brown high gloss.
BMW will offer the BMW 7 Series Edition 40 Jahre in
SWB and LWB versions, with six-, eight- and twelve-cylinder engine options and
the optional x-Drive all-wheel drive system. Those willing for a greener
solution can go for the iPerformance variant with the plug-in hybrid
powertrain. BMW is producing only 200 copies of the limited-edition 7er at the
BMW Dingolfing plant.
