Uncovered at Pebble Beach almost a month ago, the
new BMW Concept Z4 has crossed the Atlantic to be present at the 2017 Frankfurt
Motor Show.
It sports a very appealing design, with a short
bonnet that ends with a shark-nose, compact rear, and two seats in the middle.
Beneath its sexy sheet panels, it shares its underpinnings with yet another
anticipated sports car - the new Toyota Supra.
Its cockpit is driver-oriented, and to highlight it,
BMW has separated the driver's zone from the passenger one by applying two
different shades of leather, one on each side, an interesting touch that most
likely won't be carried over to the production model.
The German automaker is expected
to pull the cover off its body sometime next year, with the first examples
arriving at dealers before the end of 2018, and it should be interesting to
find out how many elements from the study will be carried over.
Toyota will follow a similar route with the new
Supra, which is believed to mark its first appearance not long after the Z4
debuts.
