Tata Motors has silently introduced the Tata Tigor
AMT in India. The automated manual transmission-equipped Tigor’s prices start
at INR 5.75 lakh*.
The Tata Tigor AMT is
available only with the 1.2-litre Revotron engine. The three-cylinder petrol
mill produces 85 PS at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The
Automated Manual Transmission is a 5-speed unit. The Tigor AMT has Sport
driving mode and Creep function, with which the car automatically moves the car
when the gear is not in neutral position.
The Tata Tigor AMT is
available in XTA and XZA grades. The XZ(O) sub-grade still tops the range.
Available features include projector headlamps, sporty alloy wheels, electrical
boot unlocking, body coloured air vents, chrome finish on air vents,
ConnectNext infotainment system, dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD and CSC.
Automatic climate control system, premium knitted roof liner, 5-inch
ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system and reverse camera are unavailable
in the Tigor AMT.
The Tata Tigor AMT retails at INR 5.75 lakh* in the
XTA grade and at INR 6.22 lakh* in the XZA grade. Next, Tata Motors will launch
the Tata Nexon with 6-speed AMT by Q1 2018.
