The Jeep Renegade arrived in 2014 and will receive a
facelift next year. Jeep has readied prototypes of the 2019 Jeep Renegade for
testing, spy shots published by motor.es have revealed.
The spy shots suggest that the 2019 Jeep Renegade
will feature refreshed front and rear fascias. The round headlamps, fog lamps,
and turn indicators look just like those in the current model, but changes to
these elements could emerge as testing progresses. The radiator grille slats do
look different from those in the current model. The facelifted Renegade may get
new graphics for the tail lamps and remodeled bumpers as well. Inside, Jeep
could offer customers new trim and upholstery choices.
Revisions to the currently available engines, if planned, are
unknown as of now. However, with the mid-cycle refresh, Jeep could introduce a
new 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine like in the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, albeit
in a detuned state.
The 2019 Jeep Renegade could arrive in some markets
sometime next year. Jeep is reportedly planning to launch the facelifted Jeep
Renegade in India in H2, 2019. Built at the Ranjangaon plant, the Indian-spec
Renegade is likely to feature a 1.4-litre Multiair turbocharged petrol and
1.6-litre Multijet turbocharged diesel engine. AWD variants could also be on
offer.
