A Guangzhou-Honda dealership has revealed that the
2018 Honda Fit will launch in China next month i.e. January 2018.
There will six variants on sale in the market.
Made in China by the Guangzhou-Honda JV, the facelifted
hatchback made its first appearance back in May 2017. It appears to be similar
to the U.S.-spec version, featuring a new grille positioned higher up, and a
revised bumpers and air dam grille. The top-end variant gets red bumper
highlights, black wheels, side skirts, exposed chrome exhaust pipe,
bumper-integrated rear diffuser and a ‘Sport’ badge on the tailgate.
Changes to the interior are minimal. Noticeable
revisions include gloss black trim for the steering wheel, orange contrast
stitching around the gear selector, steering wheel and seats. On the centre
console are more silver highlights for a premium look. The model snapped has a
2-DIN audio system instead of a touchscreen head unit.
The facelifted Fit measures 4,096 mm long, 1,695 mm
wide and 1,525 mm tall. It will continue with the L15B3 1.5-litre engine that
produces 131 PS and 155 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is only
available in the base model, while a CVT option is standard in rest of the
variants.
