Toyota unveiled the new Rush in Indonesia last year
– simultaneously with its twin, the Daihatsu Terios – but it did not reveal
prices at the time. Now, the company has announced that the new seven-seater
SUV will come with the same prices as before, according to a report from
AutonetMagz.
In fact, the range-topping TRD Sportivo
auto variant is actually three million rupiah cheaper than before. As such,
prices start at IDR 239.9 million for the base G manual, rising
up to IDR 249.9 million for the G auto, IDR 251.3 million for the TRD Sportivo manual and IDR 261.3 million for
the TRD Sportivo auto.
Standard equipment includes LED head- and tail
lights, 16-inch machine-finish alloy wheels, push-button start and a reverse
camera. The TRD Sportivo throws in a soft-touch two-tone dashboard, a colour
multi-info display, USB ports in every row, a DVD-AVX infotainment system with
a seven-inch touchscreen, Miracast, Weblink, Bluetooth and Waze support, plus
eight speakers.
As the name suggests, the TRD Sportivo also gains a
number of aesthetic enhancements, including a larger front and rear underguard,
chunky fog light surrounds and protective side strips, along with 17-inch
alloys. Better news is that safety kit such as six airbags, ABS, Vehicle
Stability Control (VSC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), emergency stop signal and
seat belt reminders for all seven seats are standard across the range.
All models get the same new 2NR 1.5 litre Dual VVT-i
petrol engine from the Avanza, making 104 PS at 6,000 rpm and 136 Nm of torque
at 4,200 rpm. Power goes to the rear wheels through either a five-speed manual
gearbox or a four-speed automatic.
