Post the numerous spy shots of the 2018 Hyundai
Creta, the brochure scans of the compact SUV has been leaked ahead of the
launch expected on the 22nd of this month. The facelifted Creta will be offered
in seven single-tone and two dual-tone colours – Passion Orange (new), Marina
Blue (new), Fiery Red, White, Stardust, Black, Silver and White with Black and
Passion Orange with Black.
The 2018 Hyundai Creta gets subtle tweaks to the
exterior, interior along with the addition of new features. For starters, the
compact SUV gets Hyundai’s signature cascade design front grille, tweaked
projector headlights, LED DRLs, redesigned front and rear bumper with silver
skid plates, revised tail lamps and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with a new
design.
For the interior, the facelifted Hyundai Creta gets
an updated 7-inch touchscreen AVN system with MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and
Android Auto. The dual-tone colour variants will get a sporty interior colour
pack. In terms of features, the already feature-loaded Creta now packs in an
electric sunroof, 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control,
wireless phone charger and a Smart Key Band. The Smart Key Band is compatible
with an app called H-Band which is already listed on the Google Play Store. It
comes handy for various functions like locking and unlocking the door, opening
the tailgate, sleep monitoring and counting steps and calories.
In terms of mechanicals, the 2018 Hyundai Creta
remains unchanged. It continues to be offered with a 1.6-litre petrol,
1.4-litre diesel and 1.6-litre diesel engines. The 1.6-litre petrol mill makes
123 PS of power and 151 Nm of torque while the 1.6-litre oil-burner produces
128 PS and 260 Nm. The 1.4-litre diesel motor churns out 90 PS of power and 220
Nm of torque. Both the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel powertrains are paired with
a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed automatic transmission but the 1.4 diesel
gets only a 6-speed manual gearbox.
